IMPORTANT

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PROCEEDING

Please take note that the Study Groups have become very popular amongst the users/members.   Some Groups experience a large volume of messages sent between the members due to the large number of members in those Groups.   The “individual e-mail” method allows you to receive responses to your questions, etc. within minutes of sending.

If you feel, after joining, that the volume is more than you expected, you may choose to change your Group delivery mode to the daily FULL-TEXT DIGEST version.   This method collects all the messages during the previous day and sends them in one mailing to you the next day, therefore resulting in any posting of answers/questions the day after.   Please refer to the Help section for details on how to change your delivery mode Full Text Digest mode.

VERY IMPORTANT… If you respond to a message from a member of your Study Group be sure to send the response to the Group and not the to the originator and, also, DO NOT copy (cc) the originator when you respond to the Group’s address, this creates unnecessary duplicates of Study Group messages.   Funnelling all the messages through the Group will allow all the members to see the progress of the work and will result in benefiting all the members.

This mailing list is also moderated, which means that new members must be approved and all postings watched to try to ensure members observe the CGA Code of Ethical Principles and Rules of Conduct.   Please be advised that this may at times be overlooked, since there have been over 3500 students clocked as members of the various Study Groups.    Any misrepresentation of the member's identity is not permitted; members MUST use their REAL names not only nicknames and MUST use traceable email addresses to confirm their identity.

Click on the links down the left side of the page to view and move between the various areas.    To search the web site for specific information, please use the search function.

The CGA Student Email Study Group mailing lists are provided to enable students to discuss amongst themselves issues of general or course specific nature.   Due to the nature of the Study Groups, CGA Canada, its Provincial Associations, and their respective employees are not responsible for the accuracy of the responses; however, the Study Groups will be reviewed periodically to ensure compliance with the Code of Ethical Principles and Rules of Conduct, in addition CGA Email Tutors may actively participate in resolving some of your questions.

It is expected that students will respect the integrity of the testing process by refraining from providing solutions to assignment questions.   This site is intended to help students share and clarify their technical understanding of topical areas within their course of study while promoting the value of independent distance education.
